Epilogue
I was sitting in a pub, on a typical rainy summer day. Eventually, the usual question comes up -- "so, how was it?" And I inevitably search for a pithy response, filled with travel-worn wisdom to summarise the past 9 months. This, of course is impossible, so I'm left to explain that after all that I've seen and done, there is no moral to the story. There is no climactic arc, ending with a big conclusion and a tale that ends with my saying "...and that is how the world works."
If anything I feel that my story is just a small ripple in an ocean of stories across the world. I've only had a glimpse of those stories as the people and cultures have flashed before my eyes.
So, there is no big conclusion to my travel story -- but after I said that in the pub, someone pointed out, maybe I haven't finished travelling.
